The 5th Quattro Era Baishada sweeps into Baqueira Beret
Audi is bringing back the legendary popular race that combines a number of downhill skiing and snowboarding disciplines. The event will take place at Beret Stadium on 17 February. The day will be chock-full of fun, competition and lots of thrills. You’re in for the ride of your life! That’s how the 5th Era Baishada welcomes its competitors who will be able to take part in the popular race on Saturday, 17 February at Beret. The race, famed for its festive atmosphere and open to all categories, will feature a route aimed at delivering as much fun as possible to ensure that all the racers have a great time. In this way winning will simply become another incentive.

Baqueira Beret dresses up for Carnival
With the entire resort in operation (weather permitting) and around two metres of snow at high altitudes, Baqueira Beret is gearing up to celebrate Carnival on a day of fun, adventure and lots of fancy dress. The resort has got a week crammed with activities all lined up. Once again Baqueira Beret is hosting the classic Fancy Dress Photo Ski Rally in which a range of prizes can be won. The Rally combines sport with Carnival to pack the runs with skiers in fancy dress outfits.

Lots of snow for the 850 competitors in the 39th Marxa Beret
On 3-4 February the Baqueira Beret resort once again hosted the biggest popular cross-country skiing competition in Spain, the Marxa Beret, in which 850 long-distance skiers took part. The competition is a scoring event for the Spanish Cross-Country Skiing Cup and was held over three distances: 10 km, 21 km and 42 km.

Freestyle gains ground in Baqueira Beret with the Era Marmòta snowpark
The Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu ski resort features a revamped snowpark in Beret for freestyle skiers and snowboarders. Baqueira Beret has some good news for long-standing and beginner freestylers alike: the shapers team which runs the snowpark is totally new and their enormous enthusiasm and effort have already led to some pretty good results for this season. A combination of nonstop work and the abundant snowfall at the resort has enabled the team to build the modules. The snowpark is now a haven for skiers and snowboarders who are looking to fly.

Marxa Beret 2018, the great Nordic skiing festival
The 39th Marxa Beret, the biggest popular cross-country skiing competition in Spain, is to be held over the weekend of 3-4 February at Baqueira Beret and will once again attract competitors from across Europe. The competitions will take place over three distances: 10 km, 21 km and 42 km.

New Funpark at Baqueira Beret, a circuit crammed with surprises
The Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu ski resort opened its Funpark for the first time at Christmas. It consists of a route for children, families and beginners’ groups on which they can interact with decorative items such as monsters and giant flowers as well as reproductions of animals widely found in this area of the Pyrenees. Once again the Baqueira Beret ski resort is innovating in fun activities this season so that younger skiers and snowboarders and their families can enjoy the snow a little more.

Christmas with lots of snow at Baqueira Beret
Around 150,000 skiers have sped across the snow at the Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu resort between 25 December and Sunday 7 January. The weather has been unsettled but all the skiable kilometres and ski lifts were available on most days during the Christmas holidays. From spectacular snowfall just before the end of the year to mild temperatures during Epiphany week, Christmas always brings variable weather conditions. The Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu resort has been open every day of the holidays with an average of 130 skiable kilometres and practically all its ski lifts in operation. This meant the approximately 150,000 skiers who visited the resort between 25 December and 7 January were able to have fun right across the open skiable area covering2,166 hectares at Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua.

Ski Service Baqueira Store, service and equipment at the foot of the runs
Weather permitting, during the Christmas holidays and at New Year Baqueira Beret is to have all its runs and ski lifts open. With 1.40 m depths high up in the mountains it’s time to upgrade ski and snowboard equipment at Ski Service Baqueira Store. Baqueira Beret will have the entire resort open for the Christmas holidays
The Three Kings have turned up early in the Val d’Aran and the Valls d’Àneu with abundant snowfall in November and December that weather permitting will make it possible to open all the runs and lifts. The opening forecast could not be better with the three Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua areas open for fans of winter sports who have chosen the Aranese station as a Christmas destination to round off 2017 in style.

Outstanding double bank holiday week at Baqueira Bere
The double bank holiday week in early December is always a great thermometer for measuring the health of winter tourism. The more than 70,000 people who came to the Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu resort during the week bode well for an excellent season. With minds already turning to the Christmas holidays, the amount of snow built up on the runs and the 140 km of open slopes give grounds for optimism. The December 2017 double bank holiday will be remembered as one of the best ever at Baqueira Beret where 90% of runs have been open with snow depths of more than one metre in high areas.

Baqueira Beret is to have over 135 km of runs for the December double bank holiday
After more than 75 cm of snow fell on Friday and Saturday, weather permitting the Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu resort will open 97 runs with a total of 137 skiable kilometres. Skiers and snowboarders who come to Baqueira Beret will enjoy one of the December double bank holidays with the most snow in recent years. Towards the top of the mountains snow depths stand at more than one metre while lower down they are 65 cm. The recent winter temperatures, down to -15º C on Sunday, have meant an outstanding start to the season with high quality powder snow and the resort opening for the double bank holiday, weather permitting, with 90% of its runs open and all 35 lifts in operation.

Baqueira Beret to have nearly 120 km of runs at the weekend
Weather permitting, the Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu resort will bring all its 35 ski lifts into service to provide access to 80 runs with a total of 118 skiable kilometres. The winter temperatures over the last few days together with the heavy snowfall of a few weeks ago mean Baqueira Beret is extending its skiable area to 118 km of runs for the first weekend of December. This is a good sign that the resort’s Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua sectors will be in great shape for the double bank holiday period in the following week.

Baqueira Beret opens its three ski areas with 75 km of runs
Next Saturday 25 November the skiable area is to be extended to 75 km of runs with the resorts’ three areas open and all the Baqueira and Bonaigua ski lifts in operation. Outstanding start to the season for the Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu resort with a total of 31 lifts and 49 runs open between Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua which will mean visitors can enjoy a large part of the station. In fact the forecast is that all the lifts will be working at Baqueira and Bonaigua and almost 70% at Beret.

Great start to the season at Baqueira Beret with a sunny weekend and the opening of the Bosque cafeteria
The Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu resort has had a first weekend with 30 km of slopes open and 4,500 skiers who have enjoyed some excellent weather and snow depths of up to 50 cm. One of the main new features this winter is the refurbished Bosque cafeteria at Baqueira 1800, a roomy and comfortable venue which opened on Saturday and proved very popular with skiers.

Baqueira Beret is to open on Saturday 18 November with 30 km of runs
The heavy snowfall and very cold weather of recent weeks have meant lots of snow production, so we will be able to open the Baqueira sector with 25 runs in operation featuring 30 km of open routes and maximum snow depths reaching 50 cm at a height of 2,500 m. The new season has swept into the Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu ski resort in a big way. November has started with lots of snow and extreme cold that’s great for kicking off the sporting winter. These ideal conditions are grounds for confidence about opening the ski resort, which was initially planned for the last weekend in November but now will take place on Saturday 18 November, the day chosen for strapping on skis again.

Novedades para la temporada 2017/2018 en Baqueira Beret
Baqueira Beret presenta una estación actualizada con novedades llamativas como la remodelación integral de la cafetería Bosque y otras cualitativas como la ampliación del sistema de producción de nieve y la mejora de pistas, decisivas para disfrutar de la mejor experiencia. La estación ofrece esta temporada 157 km esquiables (152 km son de pistas balizadas y 5 km de itinerarios fuera-pista) en su dominio repartido entre la Val d’Aran y las Valls d’Àneu. Un amplio dominio esquiable de 2.166 Ha. con 35 remontes y una capacidad total de 60.114 personas/hora. Balance positivo de temporada 2016-2017 para Baqueira Beret
La estación de esquí de la Val d’Aran y Valls d’Àneu finalizó la temporada 2016-2017 el lunes 17 de abril con resultados positivos. La estación inauguró temporada el sábado 26 de noviembre y la cerró el Lunes de Pascua por lo que han sido 143 días en funcionamiento con 808.120 esquiadores. Durante la temporada que acaba de finalizar se han sumado un total de 5,21 metros de nieve en la cota 1.800 con fuertes nevadas que llegaron en los meses de enero y febrero. Ha sido un invierno con pocas precipitaciones en forma de nieve en los meses de noviembre y diciembre, pero con buenas nevadas que llegaron con la entrada del 2017.

Baqueira Beret, 130 km esquiables en Semana Santa
La estación de la Val d’Aran y Valls d’Àneu estará abierta hasta el lunes 17 de abril con espesores de nieve de hasta 190 cm. Con 130 km esquiables y con casi todas las instalaciones abiertas durante los días festivos, Baqueira Beret garantiza unas buenas jornadas de esquí y snowboard. Baqueira Beret propone una Semana Santa llena de actividades para disfrutar con la familia y amigos. Inicio de Semana Santa con deporte de altísimo nivel en Baqueira Beret
Con la celebración de la Copa del Mundo de Esquí de Montaña ISMF y los Campeonatos de España de Snowboardcross y Skicross de RFEDI Baqueira Beret iniciará una Semana Santa en la que se prevén muchos kilómetros esquiables. Las buenas condiciones de nieve en las que se encuentra la estación de Val d’Aran y Valls d’Àneu, con los espesores máximos superando los 2 metros, permitirán el fin de semana del 8 y 9 de abril que se disputen en su área esquiable dos eventos del máximo nivel: la Copa del Mundo de Esquí de Montaña de la International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) y los Campeonatos de España de Snowboardcross (SBX) y Skicross (SX) de la Real Federación Española Deportes de Invierno (RFEDI).
